Two easy-to-use websites offer a wealth of data and analysis on health, demographics, economy and public services. Both are rich sources of information that can be used to evidence reports and funding applications.
www.localhealth.org.uk has been developed by Public Health England to provide quality assured health and related information. It includes interactive maps and reports at ward and council level.
The Surreyi website www.surreyi.gov.uk gives insight into the people, the places and the issues in local areas through statistics, maps, analysis and links to useful information, including 2011 Census summaries.
The Surreyi user interface is much improved since its launch a couple of years ago and now provides charting and mapping tools, which allow you to view data and perform comparisons. You can download the charts and maps you create or download the data for your own use. There are ready-made data summaries for quick access to information.
Another feature allows you to search using an address or postcode to discover information about health, community safety, environment and local services relevant to your chosen address.
